On 16 Nov 2019, Sh Hardeep Singh , DIG/PSO Ftr HQ BSF Jammu flagged off the ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour of children's hailing from remote border areas of Jammu region at BSF Frontier HQ, Paloura Camp Jammu. BSF  Jammu has been organizing tour called ‘Bharat Darshan’ for the children of Jammu region from two decades. The aim of organizing the tour is to give exposure to the childrens  about the rich heritage, culture and grandeur of our nation. These tours have garnered huge popularity among the masses of remote border areas of Jammu region and children eagerly await every year for this opportunity.

Total 40 children's, in the age group of 12 to 17 years, of humble background are selected from remote border areas. The tour starting from 16 Jan 2019 would be of 8 days, during which children will get an opportunity to visit various monuments in Delhi and Chennai like Marina beach, Marundeeswarar Temple, MGR Film City, Thousand lights Mosque, Fort St. George, Mahabalipuram, Zoological Park in Chennai and India Gate, Red Fort, Jama masjid, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple in Delhi.   The children are being fully equipped in all respect by the BSF.

Sh Hardeep Singh,DIG/PSO, BSF Jammu while addressing the children said that man learns when he steps out of his surroundings, and those who are selected for this tour out of thousands of children in the Union Territory of J & K are really very lucky one. At this early age it is a great opportunity for these children to know about the rich heritage, culture, people and understanding unity in diversity of our great nation.

DIG/PSO BSF  Jammu said, besides guarding the borders BSF is also playing an active role in national integration by way of conducting such types of tours for the children of remote areas for which BSF deserves accolades. Truly, it is a characteristic of forces of a democratic nation.

During the programme Sh. J C Singla DIG, Sh Akhileshwar Singh, DIG, Sh Sindhu Kumar DIG, many officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans were remain present during the ceremony.
